How Kalorist Works

How Kalorist Works

Profile & Goal Setup
When you create an account, you fill out your basic details: age, height, weight, gender, activity level. Then you set your goals – losing weight, gaining muscle, improving wellness, etc. Kalorist’s system uses this info to suggest a personalized daily calorie and macronutrient (protein, carbs, fat) target tailored for you.

Food & Exercise Logging

  • You log everything you eat (meals, snacks, drinks) in our food diary
  • You log your physical activity & workouts, whether they’re simple (like walking) or more intense.
  • If you eat out, our menu integration helps you pick from actual restaurants/cafes already in Kalorist’s database – no guessing.

AI Coach (KalCoach) Guidance & Insights

  • KalCoach uses your profile, goals, eating history, and logged data to give personalized advice. It can suggest what to eat, when, and how to adjust macros/calories based on your progress.
  • It notices patterns: for example, if you’re consistently low on protein, or overeating at dinner, or skipping meals. It gives feedback (“Hey, adding a protein source at breakfast could help you hit your goals.”)
  • Has preferences/allergies built in (you tell it if you don’t eat something, or have dietary restrictions), and it adapts.

Smart Recommendations for Eating Out

  • Since we’ve integrated many cafe & restaurant menus (e.g. Zender’s and others), you don’t have to estimate. KalCoach helps you choose options from real menus that align with your calorie/macros goals.
  • If you pick something off-menu, you log the closest item, and KalCoach helps you adjust the rest of your day to stay on track.

Progress Tracking & Adjustments

  • Every week or so, you update your weight (and optionally other metrics like body measurements). Kalorist charts your progress over time.
  • Based on how you’re doing (are you losing/gaining/maintaining as expected), KalCoach may suggest tweaking your calorie target or macro ratios.
  • Visual dashboards show daily & weekly macros, calories in vs calories out, trends, how often you hit goals, etc.

Habit Building & Behavior Feedback

  • Beyond calories/facts, KalCoach also gives feedback on eating habits: consistency, meal timing, frequent snacks, etc.
  • Provides nudges or suggestions for improvement (e.g. “You often skip breakfast — a light breakfast might help with your energy mid-morning.”)

Cultural & Local Relevance

  • The food database includes local Pakistani foods/restaurants, so what you log is relevant.
  • Preferences, dietary restrictions, typical local meals are recognized (we don’t force-you to always pick Western foods).
  • The coaching respects your lifestyle, food availability, and cultural norms.

Data Privacy & Security

  • All your personal data (body metrics, goals, preferences) is kept private. You control sharing.
  • If an organization (like EFU) uses Kalorist, they only see aggregated, anonymous data unless you opt in.
  • Third-party integrations (if any) are opt-in.
